Fashion-1960's vs now

The 1960's was definitely a decade that broke fashion tradition.
With the Beatles making exciting never before heard music, all sorts of traditions were being broken, not to mention, history was in the making!

They can't compare to any modern boy band, don't you dare suggest one direction!

People started dressing in brighter clothes, mismatched patterns

It just so happens that this is fashionable again!

False eyelashes became a fashion statement

Guess what all the beauty bloggers and fashion icons wear today...?

The pillbox hat

Today we've got royalty wearing this bad boy!

OOOH LA LA the mini skirt was a fashion revolution, girls wearing mini skirts were causing car crashes because the skirts were so distracting!

Nearly everyone owns one these days and now a days it won't cause any car accidents, but apparently it's still distracting for certain people, Pshhh

What goes around comes back around, the 60's are back!

  1. Audrey! Definitely one of my favourites! She didn't really correspond to her time's beauty standards and I kind of recognise myself in her. If it wasn't that women's condition was bad at that time, I would have loved to live in the 60's!

  2. I think 1960's fashion trends were classic. in some way these classics are again being revived by contemporary fashion houses and are incorporated with modern designs.

  3. I should send this to my mum, she love the 60s and always talk about growing up in the 60s being a teenager and so on. She still have all her old clothes - they must cost a fortune now.
